Real estate professional James Cui has joined Raine & Horne, and will use his insights around off-the-plan sales to achieve residential sales success in St Leonards.
Cui and the team at his previous independent agency, Field and Urbanite, have switched to the Raine & Horne network and launched a new office in St Leonards.
Cui previously served as the director of the Chatswood-based agency, Field and Urbanite, for eight years since its establishment in 2017, where he gained experience in project marketing, sales, and small residential project development.
Alongside Cui’s professional network and familiarity with the St Leonards area, he also holds a master’s degree in professional accounting from Macquarie University and is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA).
Cui said his educational background and his knowledge of the economic and real estate sector have enabled him to “better understand” how companies operate from a financial viewpoint.
“With some basic knowledge of how the economy in Australia works, it has helped me to understand the market better and make strategies for future operations,” Cui said.
Cui said the decision to move over to the Raine & Horne network was prompted by many clients who had asked Field and Urbanite to resell the off-the-plan properties they had previously bought through the agency.
As a result of the increasing residential sales work the agency began doing, Cui chose to join the Raine & Horne network and focus on the St Leonards area due to the heightened off-the-plan activity occurring in the area.
“The reason why we chose St Leonards is because we’ve sold over 50 off-the-plan projects and new apartments in the area, which will be settled in two to three years. They will be the start of our business here with these local landlords,” he said.
With the introduction of the nearby Crows Nest metro station last year and the development activity occurring in the St Leonards area, Cui said he expects the area’s apartment market to be “quite popular” over 2025.
Similarly, executive chairman of Raine & Horne, Angus Raine, said the influx of new high-rise developments have “permanently transformed the skyline of St Leonards”.
“The proliferation of apartments and mixed-use buildings in this area affirms St Leonards’ standout qualities and makes it a strategically sound move in our expansion plans for the prestigious lower north shore market,” Raine said.
The chairman further noted that Raine & Horne has had a “long history in St Leonards”, and shared he was “delighted” that Cui and his team had joined the network.
“I look forward to working with James and his team to ensure the St Leonards community benefits from Raine & Horne’s award-winning service,” Raine concluded.
