Real estate agent Hayley Smith received the surprise of her life yesterday when her now-fiancé Clinton Hosking asked for her hand in marriage via an online property listing.

Ms Smith, the rental department manager of Harcourts Frankston in Melbourne, was browsing the properties listed on realestate.com.au when she came across the love listing.

Mr Hosking had uploaded a property on www.realestate.com.au titled ‘1 Hayley Smith of, Frankston, Vic 3199’ with the pitch ‘WILL YOU MARRY ME?’

The listing featured photographs of the loving couple, together with a photograph of a diamond ring custom-designed by Mr Hosking, who is a professional jeweller.

Ms Smith was ecstatic when she saw the listing.

“I was just in a state of shock! It is the most romantic and unexpected thing that has ever happened to me and I am so thrilled,” she said.
