Looking to tap into the evolving mobile media market Century 21 has teamed forces with RP Data to release the group’s first property iPhone application.

Users of the simply titled Century 21 iPhone App will be to receive property descriptions, price guides, photos, information on the local real estate market, local shop and school locations, as well as public transport and other local services information.

In addition, users will be able to generate the latest information by RP Data about the relevant suburb’s population, growth rates over different periods and median house prices.

Century 21 Australia chairman Charles Tarbey said the iPhone app aims to give users on the spot information to facilitate a quick decision as well as providing the contact details of local agents to help complete the sale.

“Becoming an expert on a listed property is now almost as simple as standing in front of it, and allowing the Century 21 App and GPS technology to do the rest,” Mr Tarbey said.

“While the Century 21 iPhone App cannot replace the expert advice and knowledge of the property’s agent, it does provide users with enough information at their fingertips to make a fairly quick judgement as to whether they are serious about a property.

“Century 21 hopes that the free iPhone App makes the buying and researching process easier and simpler for Australians – saving people time and resulting in more informed property purchases.”
