Agents are facing an influx of new mobile technology, with First National announcing the release of three additional apps to their suite for the Apple iPad.
The agent group also announced its rental property condition reporting app, My Condition Reporter, will become available to all property managers nationally for a small fee through the iTunes store.
First National’s push into mobile technology comes at the same time Telstra reported a surge in smartphone usage. More buyers of all ages are relying on smartphones to conduct internet searches for information about services and products, the company said.
Mobile Register, one of First National's three new apps, will enable its agents to use their iPads to enter buyer and tenant search criteria to the network’s Utopia customer database while they’re in the field.
The second app, Mobile Lister, enables vendor listing presentations that link directly with the group’s internal ‘Utopia’ database system. Agents can present examples of how their potential customer’s property would look when its marketed, the company said. Agents will also be able to produce a live buyer demand report, using information from their database. The property’s asking price can also be moved upwards or downwards, using a sliding scale, to show the impact this would have on the number of buyers available.
“Consumers expect more from estate agents today and First National is providing the tools that guarantee the highest standards of service in the profession,” the group’s chief executive Ray Ellis said.
The third app will be targeted at consumers. Entitled First National Real Estate, it will provide home buyers with access to the network’s residential, commercial, rural and business listings, as well as the contact detail of each of its office locations nationally.
