In a bid to establish itself as Australia’s leading brokerage, Mortgage Choice has launched a new consumer iApp.

The iPhone application will provide consumers with free access to the company’s three most popular home loan calculators including ‘how much can I borrow?’; ‘what will my home loan repayments be?’; and ‘what will my stamp duty be?’.

The iApp will also help borrowers find their local Mortgage Choice broker by entering a postcode or suburb.

A spokesperson for the company said the development was “another example of the company’s embrace of new technologies. It follows the installation of high-tech video conferencing facilities in Mortgage Choice head office and state offices and the introduction of CloudLock Vault, a cloud-based document repository that helps brokers manage their NCCP compliance needs.”

Built in conjunction with developer Fronde, the app is in its first release phase. Greater functionality will be incorporated in stages as the mortgage broker delves further into iPhone possibilities.
