The Barry Plant Group has opened its 82nd store in the Victorian town of Mildura.

The new store continues the company's push into regional Victoria. The company, which commenced operations in 1979, has added six new Barry Plant Group offices since January 2009.

Barry Plant Mildura will be headed by previously independent local agents Ortensio Venneri, Martin Scott and Brian Erskine, and will operate on both sides of the NSW and Victorian border.

Martin Scott said that despite already leading the local property market under a previous brand, management identified a need to improve upon the level of service being offered to their client base.

“In recent years our business has experienced unprecedented growth in both sales and property management, despite operating in a market which has seen the volume of sales decline”, Mr. Scott said.

Director and CEO of the Barry Plant Group, Mike McCarthy said he was delighted the network was expanding into Mildura, a previously unexplored marketplace for the organisation.
