A “well-known” independent agency from Ballarat has joined Ray White Victoria, giving the company its 93rd office in the state.
Trevor Booth, the senior vice president of the Real Estate Institute Victoria (REIV), and Phillip Lee, made the change to a franchise to "support their ambitious plans for local real estate" after after 22 years as Booth & Lee.
“They’ve decided to join a national real estate network and broaden their scope and their client base, particularly in the commercial and rural arenas,” Matt White, general manager Ray White Victoria, said.
The company said the team launched as Ray White Ballarat with a view to tap into national and international buyers through Ray White's property network in Australasia.
“It’s a competitive market in Ballarat and there’s a trend emerging with many independent real estate businesses moving across to franchise groups,” Mr White explained.
In terms of residential sales, the team said it was attracted to the regular training support and investment in technology in the Ray White group.
“We’re at a point now where the city’s growth along with our own growth as a company requires us to access a broader and more diverse buyer base. Our rural and commercial vendors, particularly, are going to benefit from our capacity to reach more buyers,” Mr Lee said.
