PRD Jens Gaunt Ballarat took out PRDnationwide’s office of the year award while George Rafty, from its Newcastle office, was ranked the number one salesperson at the group’s annual awards night last week.

"Despite difficult economic circumstances, these agents and agencies demonstrated outstanding commitment to working hard for their vendors,” said PRDnationwide managing director Jim Midgley.

"Despite challenging market conditions, PRDnationwide enjoyed another successful year on the back of our commitment to business planning and financial control which is aligned with our Pathway 2015 vision."

"We made a decision to dominate the markets we operate in and that is why we’ve seen our members achieve growth and sales success when much of the industry is suffering,” he said.

The group’s top ten offices were Ballarat, Newcastle, Hobart, Port Stephens, Toowoomba, Hunter Valley, Robina, Bundaberg, Geelong and Bexley North - who recorded the highest settled commissions during the financial year.

Newcastle sales agent George Rafty claimed PRDnationwide’s major individual award. Mr Rafty was the group’s top sales performer for the 2010/2011 financial year.

The group said that 146 agents walked away with an award for sales performance - the top agents including Dane Queenen from Port Stephens, Vicki Hodges from Bundaberg, Stuart Gan from Ettalong Beach and Christine Norris from Orange.

PRDnationwide Newcastle’s Mark Kentwell was awarded number one principal in the group for the second year in a row.

Warrnambool agents Tim Wells and Michael Darken were first for marketing excellence while Vicki Hodges at Bundaberg was recognised for the highest exclusive listing.

The winner of the rookie of the year was awarded to PRDnationwide Townsville’s Matthew Mandl.

PRDnationwide said the event also marked the first time that ‘five star office awards’ were handed out to “offices which are the most committed and professional in the group.”

“These offices operate 100 per cent the PRDnationwide way and their results are testament to that,” said Mr Midgley.
