Advanced Real Estate Learning (AREL) has announced it will run two one-day events in both Sydney and Melbourne next year.
The events, which will run 31 May (Sydney) and 1 June (Melbourne), will include a range of local talent along with Larry Winget, a five-time New York Times/Wall Street Journal bestselling author, and Imran Poladi, CEO of US-based Keller Williams Realty Central.
Other speakers include Terry Watson, an agent and trainer from the US; Jason Andrew (Jason Andrew Auctioneers); Zach McHardy (Raine & Horne Chermside); Matthew Hayson (Cobden & Hayson); Sarah Lorden (Sarah Lorden Real Estate); Darren Pearce (BresicWhitney Estate Agents); Alexander Philips (Goodyer Donnelly); Garth Makowski (Dougmal Harcourts Campbelltown); Campbell Cooney (Hodges); Madeline Kennedy (Marshall White); Nicholas West (Nelson Alexander); James Hotzolas and Spiro Drossos (Barry Plant Doncaster); Tanja Neven Jones (Harcourts Frankston) and Rik Rushton (Ranges First National).
Ms Jones told Real Estate Business that her talk would focus on technology and social media, and giving agents the confidence to use these tools more effectively.
The Gen Xer, owner of one of Harcourts’ top five sales offices nationally, said it's possible for all agents to get to grips with new technology - even a 60-year old agent in her office had managed to successfully adapt to the technologies that are now available to the market.
She said technology wasn’t about replacing the core functions of what each agent should do on a daily basis, but instead was more focused on enhancing these activities.
One initiative her office had undertaken was to send all open home inspection attendees an SMS linking to a video, in which she personally thanked the prospective buyers for taking the time to view the relevant property.
AREL said the events are designed for both established and aspiring sales agents and businesses interested in “advanced” real estate learning.
Topics will include prospecting, negotiating, accountability, technology, client nurturing, building a high volume team, thriving in tough markets, marketing, and more.
