Donald Trump, US property magnate and star of The Apprentice television program, and former world-class ballet dancer and author of Mao’s Last Dancer, Li Cunxin, head a list of international and local speakers at next year’s AREC conference.

Mr Trump, whose talk is entitled ‘The Midas Touch’, will speak live via satellite on the first day of the event, while Mr Cunxin, who rose from abject poverty in rural China to become one of the world’s top ballet dancers, will speak on the subject of inspiration.

The event, which is being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on May 27 and 28, also features a trade show, with 30 companies already on board, a spokesperson for AREC organiser, Total Real Estate Training (TRET), told Real Estate Business.

The event, which is in its 15th year, will also feature a presentation by US real estate coach and author Tom Ferry, who will speak on the topic of negotiation secrets.

Mr Ferry, who wrote Life! By Design and Breakdowns to Breakthroughs, says on his website that his focus is “helping you conquer the four addictions that are holding you back from living up to your greatest potential: addiction to the opinions of others, addiction to drama, addiction to the past, and addiction to worry.”

Other speakers scheduled to present at AREC include leadership specialist Robin Sharma; real estate trainer Tom Panos; leading Richardson & Wrench agent Jason Boon; John McManus, McGrath Estate Agents’ number one agent; Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (REIWA) triple Grand Master winner Jay Standley, from Barr & Standley WA; and REINSW 2011 Award for Excellence - Residential Sales winner, Kingsley Looker, from Cunninghams Property.
