Winning property manager of the year was a New Year’s gift Jill Eisenhuth never thought she would receive.
The Beenleigh Raine & Horne property manager was awarded the Real Estate Excellence Academy’s (REEA) property manager of the year (Queensland) award on New Year’s Day.
“I looked at the computer and I couldn’t believe it,” Ms Eisenhuth told Real Estate Business.
“I told my husband and we were both shocked but thrilled.”
The inaugural award was designed to recognize excellence within the property management market, a market that the REEA felt was often overlooked.
“I decided to recognize property management because it is a part of our industry that can sometimes go unnoticed,” director of Real Estate Excellence Academy, Stacey Holt told Real Estate Business.
“This award showcases the hard work and dedication property managers routinely put in.”
There were 16 entrants for the award, with a panel of four judges who rigorously reviewed all applicants in various areas of the job, including risk management and compliance, knowledge of legislation and their own feelings and ideas for the industry.
“The competition was very tough and it came down to a couple of managers, but in the end what shone through for us was Jill’s passion for property management. She is a deserving winner and I am absolutely thrilled for her,” Ms Holt said.
Raine & Horne Beenleigh principal Dennis Wey said Ms Eisenhuth was an invaluable member of their company and could not be praised enough for her work.
“Jill is an all-rounder who has created a great culture at Raine & Horne and it are these qualities that I believe make her such a deserving candidate for such an award,” he told Real Estate Business.
With over 20 years of experience under her belt the 66 year-old grandmother says she excels at her job because she enjoys the industry and people.
“I am so thankful to Real Estate Excellence Academy for giving me this recognition. I don’t normally like being in the limelight but this really means a lot to me and my team. Without my staff I wouldn’t be where I am now.
“This was definitely a team effort,” she said.
Ms Eisenhuth added that Ms Holt is a huge supporter of the property management industry, and she deserved a lot of credit for creating the new award.
