Andrew Sorensen, co-principal of Raine & Horne Charmhaven, has taken out the group’s top salesperson (number of sales) award for NSW and ACT.
“There’s no magic bullet for real estate success – it’s about being consistent and doing the one-percenters well,” said Angus Raine, CEO, Raine & Horne.
Mr Sorensen, a first time winner, attributed his success to the effectiveness of the auction process, which he said worked well in his territory.
“Clearly we have a very affordable entry level market, and auctions played a huge part in our success in 2011,” said Mr Sorensen, who estimated his office quadrupled the number of auctions it conducted last year compared to 2010.
“We were also very systematic about how we ran Raine & Horne Charmhaven as a business in 2011 and have committed wholeheartedly to Raine & Horne’s products and services.”
Other major winners included Michael Harris, co-principal of Raine & Horne Newtown, who was awarded the top salesperson (dollar value) award, and Raine & Horne Double Bay, led by Martin Maskin, Barry Goldman, Michael Pallier and Ric Serrao, which secured both the top office (number of sales) and (dollar value) categories.
A repeat winner Raine & Horne Wellington was named top rural office (dollar value), while Raine & Horne Bathurst grabbed the top country office (dollar value) award. Raine & Horne Batemans Bay nudged Raine & Horne Terrigal-Avoca for the top coastal (dollar value) prize.
“2011 was a big year for Raine & Horne with the very successful rebrand of our 129 year old company, along with the addition of five new offices at Brighton Le Sands, Eastwood, Narrabeen, Bankstown and Gosford,” Mr Raine said.
Raine & Horne Neutral Bay’s Peter Marsi took out the rookie award for property management for 2011.
“There are more than 200 offices in the Raine & Horne network in NSW/ACT, so it’s a phenomenal achievement for Peter to be recognised with this award,” Mr Raine said.
“Peter has been a consistent performer, who has attended training regularly, maintained a consistent positive, enthusiastic attitude towards clients and projects a very professional image.”
