A Darwin-based real estate agent has appealed a 12 month jail sentence handed to him for forging the signature of his former boss to increase his sales commission, according to a report.
The jail sentence, which was handed down to Raine & Horne property development consultant Michael Tolios, would be suspended after he spent two months’ in jail, according to a report in the ntnews.com.au.
Mr Tolios received his sentence from Magistrate Michael Carey for forging the signature of Professionals’ director David Ley on a sales commission agreement, which delivered him a greater share than he was due to receive, the ntnews.com.au report said.
Mr Tolios, who was released on bail, was due to appear before the NT Agents Licensing Board yesterday.
