RealestateVIEW.com.au has booked a 70 per cent increase in mobile traffic since November, the residential online listings website has reported.

The increase in traffic comes as the property site booked 50,000 downloads of its apps, which are available for iPhones, iPads and Andriods.

The boost in app downloads also follows the launch of a new marketing campaign last month, which consists of advertising, digital, PR and guerilla marketing. The campaign highlights how the application can turn one of life’s most stressful experiences into a more convenient and effortless process.

“Our campaign is born from this consumer insight, mobile trends and the distinct features of our app,” Petra Sprekos, general manager at realestateVIEW.com.au, said in February.

“With recent research revealing that 50 per cent of property seekers still use a pen and paper to plan their weekend journey and record property feedback – the new apps provide property seekers with a suite of tools to make the process more efficient.”

According to realestateVIEW.com.au, the apps allow prospective buyers to call or email a real estate agent directly from their Smartphone, and to organise property inspection and auction times in order and put them straight into an iPhone calendar.

The iPad app also allows for suburb demographics, including age, household income and rent vs owner numbers, and it also incorporates navigation through toggle functionality.
