PRDnationwide has opened its 15th office in Victoria.
The new office, in the town of Clunes, located just north of Ballarat, will form part of the Creswick office and officially opened on May 4.
Brenden Barclay, who will manage PRDnationwide Clunes, said the new office was a natural progression for the company which has nearby shopfronts in Ballarat, Creswick and Maryborough.
“The opening of the Clunes office is part of a strategic push into the wider area,” he said.
The local Clunes team will be headed up by agent Tash Martin, with the support of the PRDnationwide Creswick team of Kathy Curnow and Gail Downy.
“Kathy’s years of experience in the region will be an invaluable asset and Gail will play an important part in the success of the office providing logistical support,” he said.
Mr Barclay, who has been in the real estate industry for 12 years, said the Clunes region is fast becoming the next hot spot for weekenders looking for an alternative to nearby Daylesford.
“Clunes buyers are made up of a combination of local buyers and buyers from Melbourne looking for a lifestyle change or affordable weekender,” he said.
“We aim to be Clunes and districts number one real estate agency within a 12 month period,” added Mr Barclay.
The new office opening comes shortly after the group rebranded its former PRD Jens Gaunt offices in the state.
“The reason for transitioning from PRD Jens Gaunt to PRDnationwide was to ensure consistency nationally,” PRDnationwide managing director and chairman, Tony Brasier, said in March this year.
PRDnationwide – the residential franchise subsidiary of Colliers International - secured a commercial interest in Jens Gaunt, one of Victoria’s biggest regional realtors, in September 2009.
