Melbourne real estate company Jellis Craig has set its sights on raising $50,000 as part of The Age Run Melbourne on Sunday 15 July in support of charity partner Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA).
“Jellis Craig is proudly committed to supporting our charity partner BCNA and this year the overwhelming feedback from our staff was that they were determined to become more involved in our fundraising efforts,” Jellis Craig CEO Nick Dowling said.
The 200-strong Jellis Craig team, which has supported the breast cancer cause for 10 years, has raised $21,000 to date.
Mr Dowling invited the community to continue with their generous efforts in helping the team reach $50,000.
BCNA CEO Maxine Morand, who is also a breast cancer survivor, said she greatly appreciated Jellis Craig’s support of women with breast cancer.
“We really appreciate Jellis Craig supporting BCNA and the work we do with our 70,000 members,” she said.
The Jellis Craig team members are competing across all three races – 5km, 10km and the 21km half marathon.
Team members will be training together in the lead-up to the race and celebrating after the run with a BBQ at Melbourne Rowing Club along the Yarra River.
A range of diverse suppliers from copywriters to printers have entered the team, along with staff and members from BCNA. Also joining the Jellis Craig team are staff from Korowa Anglican Girls’ School and members of the Old Carey Grammarians and Old Scotch football clubs.
