The top performers from RE/MAX Australia’s Queensland franchisees for the first half of 2012 were announced last week at a sales rally that attracted more than 250 of the group’s agents.
The sales rally, which also featured guest speakers Dan Gregory, Tim Lawless and a panel of high achievers, included an auctioneering competition in which the three finalists battled it out in a live property auction.
Rod Westerhuis, from RE/MAX Profile in Bardon, won the contest ahead of Kianna Lafferty from RE/MAX Real Estate Services in Cairns and Dave Stockbridge from RE/MAX Urban & Rural in Salsibury in SA.
Ian Knight, of RE/MAX Success in Toowoomba, took out the award for top individual sales associates in gross closed transaction sides, followed by Michelle Rodgers from RE/MAX Advantage in Wynnum and Michael Spillane, of RE/MAX Northern Realty, Albany Creek.
The best sales team associate in gross closed transaction sides was the Aaron Thompson Team, of RE/MAX Precision in Bundaberg, followed by the Simon Salm Team at RE/MAX Bayside Properties, Alexandra Hills and the David Neilson Team, of RE/MAX Bayside Properties, Victoria Point.
The top individual sale associates in gross settled commissions was Michelle Rodgers, of RE/MAX Advantage, Wynnum, followed by Cathy Lammie of RE/MAX Property Centre in Toowong and Michael Spillane, of RE/MAX Northern Realty, Albany Creek.
In terms of the top team sales associates for gross settled commissions, the Deborah Evans team at RE/MAX Results, Morningside, took out top spot, followed by the David Neilson Team at RE/MAX Bayside Properties, Victoria Point and the Simon Salm Team, RE/MAX Bayside Properties, Alexandra Hills.
Other award winners included top individual office in gross closed transaction sides - RE/MAX Excellence, Townsville; and top individual office in gross settled commissions - RE/MAX Property Centre, Toowong. Rina Cappiello, of RE/MAX Northern at Albany Creek, received the outstanding achievement award for administration.
RE/MAX Australia’s managing director, Michael Davoren, told attendees that the time was perfect for quality agents to build their business.
“It is a long time since I have seen so many agents in one room in such a positive and optimistic frame of mind,” he said. “Now is the time for good agents to make their move while many of the others are buried in the misery of the media.”
