Ballarat-based agent Mark Nunn has taken out hockingstuart’s top sales award, while Alex Wannouche secured the Victorian group’s property management employee of the year gong.
Held at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre late last week, the group's annual awards, which are in their 27th year, covered 23 categories and included a client satisfaction metric as one of the award criteria.
hockingstuart Ballarat agent Mark Nunn secured the sales agent of the year award based on a combination of sales performance and client service measures. At an office level, hockingstuart Ballarat was the highest performing sales office.
On the property management side of the network, hockingstuart South Yarra’s Alex Wannouche won property management employee of the year with the Balwyn office receiving the property management office of the year award.
hockingstuart franchise of the year was awarded to dual recipients in Chelsea and Frankston.
Customer service awards were also of significance for the network with Ballarat’s Danny Illingworth and Ringwood’s Naiomi Bentley taking out the vendor and purchaser customer service agent of the year awards, respectively.
hockingstuart managing director and CEO Nigel O’Neil said quality customer service remains central to the success of the network.
“No matter where we are in the property market cycle, consistent customer service guarantees that we keep getting clients through our door,” said Mr O’Neil.
“The offices that make this a key priority are able to overcome tough market conditions and maintain business growth.”
The awards were held only days after the group performed strongly at the 2012 Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) Residential Novice Auctioneers’ Competition Heats, with four of seven finalists coming from hockingstuart.
The hockingstuart finalists include Ringwood’s Daniel Bolton, Yarraville’s Marcus Fregonese, Carlton’s Charles Atkins and Northcote’s Eric Brown.
Mr O’Neil said the group’s success in the competition heats are a result of its thorough auctioneer accreditation process.
“Our process includes a vigourous ten week in-house auction training course culminating in an accreditation test in front of experienced hockingstuart auctioneers,” he said.
“All auctioneers within our group must go through this training before they can auction a property under the hockingstuart name. Auctions are a big part of what we do so it’s important that our auctioneers are top of the game. After all, a skilled auctioneer could mean the difference in securing a higher price for a property.”
