The Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) awards were held over the weekend, with many of the prestigious gongs awarded to women, including residential property management, sales and both young gun awards.
The annual event saw more than 600 industry representatives gather to celebrate the state’s best and brightest stars on Saturday.
“The competition for this year’s awards was fierce and I am delighted by the continued support of REINSW’s night of nights,” REINSW president Christian Payne said.
“The solid contribution of women in real estate has again been cemented with D’Leanne Lewis from Laing+Simmons Double Bay taking out the Residential Sales category, Rebecca Kleiner from Hart Estate Agents being recognised for Residential Property Management and CBRE’s Bree Waterhouse winning Commercial Property Management.
“Women were also recognised as future leaders with Young Agent awards for Residential Property Management Achievement and Residential Sales Achievement respectively going to Kate Towerton from Harcourts Hills Living and Helen Woodhouse from Hore & Davies.
“McGrath Mosman was a well deserving winner of the Residential Agency – Large award while Callagher Estate Agents and Unrealestate Coffs Coast took out the titles for Medium and Small Residential Agency.
Mr Payne also paid tribute to the Woodrow Weight Award winner - which rewards an individual for outstanding service to the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales and the profession - Knight Frank North Sydney managing director, Kymbal Dunne.
“As a dedicated and active member of the Real Estate Institute’s Commercial Chapter Committee, Kymbal has not only invested heavily in his own career, but also in the careers of his peers – working hard to improve the lot of commercial property professionals in NSW, as well as for the benefit of the industry overall,” Mr Payne said.
“Since the very beginning of his career, Kymbal has thought of real estate as the “profession of professionals”. He has supported industry education and training as a key way to move forward and develop a rewarding and fulfilling career."
