A real estate group donated five per cent of all commissions from new properties listed during October, to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

The Starr Partners franchise network raised more than $18,000 for the foundation, claimed the CEO Douglas Driscoll.

“All staff worked incredibly hard to increase our sales in October, knowing that the more we achieved, the higher our contribution would be to this much needed cause.

“Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, with one in nine women developing it in their lifetime. Knowing that many in our community could benefit from the work of the NBCF really motivated all offices taking part to rally together and achieve this exceptional result.”

Kate Brett, community fundraising co-ordinator at the NBCF, expressed her gratitude toward the group.

“NBCF would like to thank all those involved in the Starr Partners’ fundraising initiative throughout October. What an amazing achievement!

“When NBCF was founded in 1994, 30 per cent of women diagnosed lost their battle. In less than 20 years, through research, this number has halved.

“Funds raised by Starr Partners will go towards helping the women affected by breast cancer and their families, and will help us achieve our goal of zero deaths by 2030.”
