Two prominent industry professionals have joined forces to open a new ‘flagship’ Ray White store in the Sydney suburb of Balmain.

Sam Kelso, former chief auctioneer at Ray White, told Real Estate Business that opening his own office has always been a long-term goal.

“I used to be involved with sales about five years ago, and I always enjoyed that side of real estate, and opening an office has always been a goal of mine. It’s just been a case of the right time and finding the right people to do it with,” Mr Kelso said.

And Mr Kelso believes he has found the right person in Emily Sim, former property management expert and trainer for Ray White.

“We’ve worked together for three years at Ray White; my role was property management growth and training," she said. "I’m also a local resident in Balmain so everything sort of fit together nicely."

“As a local Balmain resident, I am extremely passionate about bringing a unique and much needed style of service to residents and local business owners in the area,” added Ms Sim.

The co-principals plan on growing their rent roll organically.

“I’ve always been in charge of growing everyone else’s rent rolls, but I’m really excited to be able to finally grow my own,” Ms Sim said.

Chairman of the Group, Brian White, said Sam and Emily will bring a service to the community of the highest possible standard.

“They are extraordinarily effective and successful people and both played roles in the development of the Ray White Group," he said. “They possess the highest ethics combined with a remarkable determination to create a business that all of Ray White will be proud of."
