One real estate group is planning to spread across the nation’s capital cities after opening a new office in Perth, with another due to open in Brisbane before the end of the quarter.
Chris Johnson, MMJ Real Estate chief executive officer, says the establishment of the group's eighth office in WA is aligned with the company's broader objective of expanding its service nationally.
“We’re extremely excited by the addition of the Perth office to the MMJ Group,” he said. “Following the establishment and integration of the Perth-based office, the next major city location to be added to the MMJ group will be in Brisbane, where plans for this office are in advanced stages and it is likely to be open for business toward the end of this quarter.
“Other major CBD target locations include Melbourne and Adelaide."
MMJ Real Estate Group already has an office located in Sydney and Canberra, as well as five other regional NSW offices.
The new Perth office was previously operating as DTZ’s Perth office which Brad Carey, now director of MMJ WA, managed.
“We've identified significant growth potential in the Western Australian property market and have made the decision to join forces with MMJ Real Estate, which will better meet the business needs inherent in the local market,” Mr Carey said.
“In addition, our culture is very much aligned with MMJ Real Estate and our day-to-day service offerings mirror those of MMJ Real Estate as well.
“Put simply, despite the huge level of interest in our business from the market place from outright purchases to potential mergers, the best fit for us was the national group of MMJ Real Estate,” said Mr Carey.
