The industry is set to battle it out for the highest honours, with nominations for Real Estate Business’ inaugural Australian Real Estate Awards now officially open.

Partnered by Domain, the Australian Real Estate Awards will recognise outstanding individuals as well as groups across the national real estate industry.

Sales agents, property managers and principals as well as the industry’s networks, franchise groups and independent operations are all invited to enter.

As the only industry awards program open to the whole industry, the Australian Real Estate Awards will set a new benchmark for the industry’s elite, according to Real Estate Business editor Simon Parker.

“Not only are these awards an assessment of the entire real estate market, but the judging methodology behind them is more robust and transparent than any other industry award,” he said.

“A lot of work has gone in to the development of the award methodology and there is plenty more work to come, with a full judging panel and multi-tiered assessment process to determine our inaugural winners.”

As a first step, agents and groups that want to participate in this year’s awards need to lodge their submission online. Groups and agents can nominate themselves; alternatively third parties can nominate businesses or groups.

Winners of the 2013 Australian Real Estate Awards will be revealed at a prestigious luncheon to be held at Sydney’s Oversees Passenger Terminal in August this year.
