Mark Sinclair, a prominent Western Australia-based real estate business consultant, has taken up the role of director at ACTON Central.
ACTON managing director Graeme Baxter said securing Mr Sinclair was a major coup for the group, which operates more than 20 offices mainly in and around the Perth metropolitan area.
“Mark is incredibly experienced, having run his own successful agency, before moving on to be the state manager for two major national franchises," he said.
“His opinion is widely sought after within the industry, and his skills and knowledge will further develop ACTON as the dominant brand in the Subiaco area."
Prior to joining ACTON, Mr Sinclair worked in executive managerial roles for 15 years. He was previously a CEO and master franchisor of Raine & Horne Western Australia and state manager for LJ Hooker. Most recently, he ran Real Estimations, where he provided a dedicated range of consultancy services to the real estate and property industries.
Mr Sinclair told Real Estate Business he was looking forward to sharing his experience and understanding of the industry with his team.
“I’m very passionate about a strong asset base with the growth of the rent roll, and continuing to provide innovative solutions for property management services, and attracting a small but strong team of localised sales professions, and by being a solution provider to people,” he said.
Mr Sinclair added that ACTON Central’s local area of Subiaco was an exciting market.
“It’s an older area that’s undergone major rejuvenation in the last 15 years. It has a very good cross-section of everything from villas to upmarket refurbished houses, excellent shopping, excellent entertainment and shopping precincts, and it’s on the CBD fringe."
Mr Sinclair's appointment follows two other recent additions to the group's executive ranks, with Craig Wildman joining as general manager earlier this month while Alan Baxendale, formerly the sales manager at Perth-based Davey Real Estate, joined the group in June last year, with part of his role to assist with the implementation of the PortPlus CRM and database across the group.
Speaking with Real Estate Business on February 4, Mr Wildman said he would love to spread the ACTON brand beyond Perth.
“I’d love to spread into northern WA like Broome, Karratha and around those sorts of areas," he said. "That would be fantastic." Other suburbs of Perth are also a target for the group, as are parts of Asia.
