RE/MAX Western Australia performed strongly at the global franchise group's international awards, held as part of the RE/MAX R4 2013 Convention last month in Las Vegas.
WA picked up 26 awards, including the prestigious International Multi Office Agency of the Year, which was awarded to Re/Max Extreme owners Brett and Alana White.
The agency also won the ‘Hall of Fame’ and ‘Platinum Club’ awards in recognition of their sales achievements.
Managing director of RE/MAX WA, Geoff Baldwin, told Real Estate Business he was extremely pleased with the result.
“To go over there and be so dominant in the awards was just so amazing considering that are 7,000 people over there,” he said.
“It’s a reaffirmation of where we’re heading - the fact that we are doing things differently."
Mr Baldwin said RE/MAX WA emphasised empowerment of agents and recognised that it was their efforts and relationships with clients that contributed to its success.
“If they don’t succeed then we don’t succeed. We help them to build their own personal brand in the community parallel with the RE/MAX brand.”
About 7,000 RE/MAX agents from more than 60 countries attended the four-day convention to hear various talks, including by ex-US Secretary of State Condolezza Rice and American author Andy Andrews.
The annual conference also celebrated the company’s 40th anniversary.
