The company’s CEO David Scholes said there needed to be a central location to give agents an alternative for properties that did not suit an onsite auction.

“Many properties auctioned onsite would actually present much better if offered in the controlled environment of a purpose-built auction room,” he said.

“Saturday auctions can be difficult for buyers to get to due to all the other commitments people have on weekends, so an auction that is conducted in a convenient place and time can achieve a better result for owners.”

Auctions will commence at 6pm on Wednesday evenings and free parking will be provided for suburban agents and their vendors.

Bids will be displayed digitally to assist buyers with limited English and the auction will be broadcast online for bidders who cannot attend the auction.

“We all understand the importance of first impressions with property, but often risk a bad last impression if bidders struggle to find parking when it's pouring with rain, if the neighbours are creating noise, or if the property, like many, is directly under the flight path,” Mr Scholes said.

“An in-room auction negates all these potential risks and is the perfect time management tool for agents.”
