LJ Hooker has joined Sustainable Business Australia (SBA), a not-for-profit organisation that encourages sustainability within Australian businesses.
SBA CEO Andrew Peterson said he welcomed LJ Hooker to the SBA membership and his group’s association with the network.
“Through initiatives like LJ Hooker’s Liveability.com.au, property owners and renters are able to access relevant quality information about sustainability that can help to create a healthy, efficient and more comfortable home. SBA commends this initiative and sees it as an essential factor if Australia is to have a truly sustainable future,” he said.
LJ Hooker’s head of sustainability, Cecille Wheldon, said she was excited to be able to promote her organisation’s contribution to a sustainable future for Australians through an active membership of SBA.
"I look forward to working with SBA CEO Andrew Petersen on ways in which we can demonstrate how smart business practices can lead the way for Australians to participate actively in living the life they want, sustainably," she said.
As part of its initiative to promote sustainability, LJ Hooker launched a new consumer website last year as part of their strategy to help consumers break down barriers and have relevant information on ways to potentially save money at home through energy and water efficiency.
