A regional NSW-based agent has been announced as PRDnationwide’s top performing salesman for a third consecutive year.

George Rafty, of PRDnationwide Newcastle, received the prestigious sales agent of the year award at PRDnationwide’s annual awards held at the Brisbane City Hall on August 17. Mr Rafty said he was humbled to have received the award for a third time and mentioned his wife in his acceptance speech.

“I want to acknowledge my beautiful wife Rosanna. I’m up here getting an award, but she’s always at home looking after three kids under 10 years of age, and she’s been doing that for seven years, so I think I got the easy part of the deal,”  said Mr Rafty.

In his speech he also acknowledged his colleagues.

“I work with an amazing office. Mark Kentwell, Alan and Shula (Kentwell) gave me an opportunity three years ago and I’m thankful for that. They’ve given me all the systems and all the tools that I need to do what I do,” he said.

Mr Rafty told Real Estate Business that he also attributed his success to providing the right service and marketing to clients, getting them the best results.

Mr Rafty was the only non-metropolitan-based agent in the running for the top award.

The award adds to his already substantial haul of achievements, including the 12th position in Real Estate Business’ Top 100 Agents List and being a recent finalist in the National Sales Agent of the Year category at the Australian Real Estate Awards held in Sydney.
