An award-winning group is throwing its support behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating a portion of their commissions to charity.
During this month, Starr Partners will donate five per cent of all its commissions on new listings to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
The group will swap their trademark blue colours for pink in their advertising and workwear, drumming up additional support for the cause.
CEO of Starr Partners Douglas Driscoll said: “Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, with one in eight women developing it in their lifetime.
“If the previous year’s fundraising efforts are anything to go by, I can guarantee that our franchisees will be completely dedicated to this campaign. Throughout October each office will be working as a team to achieve maximum listings and collectively raise awareness of the National Breast Cancer Foundation.”
Kate Brett, community fundraising co-ordinator at National Breast Cancer Foundation, said she was grateful for the continuous effort shown by Starr Partners in its fundraising initiatives each year.
“When NBCF was founded in 1994, 30 per cent of women diagnosed lost their battle [with breast cancer],” Ms Brett said.
“In less than 20 years, through research, this number has halved and we aim to decrease this even further.
“Funds raised by Starr Partners will go towards helping the women affected by breast cancer and their families and will help us achieve our goal of zero deaths by 2030.”
