The future of real estate will be the focus of a summit being called by a state-based industry body for late this month.

The Real Estate Institute of NSW is urging industry leaders from across the state to come together for the REINSW Industry Summit, to be held on Friday 29 November.

“This Industry Summit is an opportunity for our industry’s leaders to have a voice and hear from like-minded professionals,” REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin said.

“We have more than 50 industry leaders coming along to talk about the current position of the profession and marketplace, and what they believe the profession should and could provide the marketplace in the future.”

Attendees will participate in a series of open workgroup discussions, Mr McKibbin said.

“Everyone will have a chance to liaise with other successful industry leaders and share some of the challenges they are facing operationally, strategically and legislatively,” he said.

“Consumers are becoming far more discerning and sophisticated, and have a constant thirst for information about property.

“As the peak industry body, we want to better understand the needs of agents so we can partner with them and create a more robust profession, industry and marketplace.”
