A major network has reported it has achieved $1 billion in rural sales this year alone.

Ray White’s rural division reported that this year had marked a distinct change in the rural property market, which had experienced a few years of slow growth in sales.

Paul White, the company’s joint chairman, announced the rural division of the Ray White Group had achieved $1 billion in sales for the first 11 months of 2013. This is a figure the group has not achieved since 2010.

“This has been a good year for rural sales, particularly in the mid-range,” Mr White said. “Given the challenges of the rural industry in recent years, this achievement is extremely pleasing.

“There’s not been a lot of huge sales. In fact, a majority of movement has been in the $1.5 million to $5 million bracket.

“New South Wales has improved significantly, while Queensland has remained relatively flat,” he said.
