Australian real estate agents can now access the latest market news and interact with their peers via their mobile devices with the new Real Estate Business (REB) website launched today.

The new site opens up a host of new features for visitors, making it easier to engage in industry debate, watch videos and read breaking news, as well as accessing opinion and insight from leading commentators. In addition to a comprehensive restructuring, this leading industry portal has also been rebranded as REB to reflect its fresh new look.

Speaking about the relaunch, REB editor Stacey Moseley said that after five years on the old platform the new site was a quantum leap forward.

“We started life as a digital publication in 2009 and we’ve come so far in such a short space of time. We now have more than 30,000 visitors to the site every month, we’ve got bloggers contributing on a daily basis and the debate continues to rage on our forum," she said.

“The new site is a state of the art digital platform that offers principals and real estate agents access to a new generation of content. As well as the latest news, REB now gives its readers access to the opinions and business strategies of the industry’s most successful practitioners and educators."

One of the core features of the new site is its full mobile capabilities. The new site has been specifically designed to enable agents to browse REB on their tablet or mobile, allowing easy access to the site’s full suite of functions.

“It’s important that REB caters to the evolving needs of its audience, and that means easy access to information anytime, anywhere," Ms Moseley continued.

"The bulk of us browse the web on mobile devices and so it’s important that REB is suited to today’s needs."

But the launch of the new REB platform is just the beginning. Over the coming months, the site will announce a number of new initiatives and offerings to its audience, so watch this space.

The website launch occurs at the same time Residential Property Manager moves from a weekly bulletin to a daily newsletter.
