An award-winning real estate agent shows it pays to go above and beyond for your clients.
Speaking to Real Estate Business at the recent Real Estate Result Network's Sales Summit in Sydney, Stafanie Dobro, sales executive at Caporn Young in East Freemantle and North Freemantle, explained how throwing a party for one of her clients led her to a number of buyers and listings.
“I sold a property for a leading artist. He was moving interstate and he was very frazzled, so I offered to throw a going away party,” she said, after presenting on stage at the summit.
“I could tell he was quite drained from the move, so I thought throwing him a party would be nice.
“It was fantastic and it was a win for everyone - my client spent the night promoting the work that I had done for him."
According to Ms Dobro, whose team generated 98 sales in 2013, the party was also a great opportunity to create contacts.
“I got to make lots of contacts and I ended up listing another property belonging to a person in the arts industry only a couple of weeks later, as well as getting a number of buyers from it as well,” she explained.
Ms Dobro believes the real estate industry is about giving to clients by offering over and above the normal customer service.
“I think one thing in this business is that it is very much about giving. It’s not what’s in it for me; it's what’s in it for them. The more people you help, the more people will help you achieve your goal,” she said.
Ms Dobro said she is heavily involved in her community, including sitting on the PNC, leading the fundraising committee, as well as holding memberships for a number of clubs.
