Fletchers Gold Coast - part of the 2013 Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) Large Agency of the Year - yesterday announced a major expansion of its local operations.

Queensland managing director Christopher Stear announced the appointment of property consultants covering Burleigh, Southport, Arundel, Labrador and Runaway Bay and areas adjacent to those suburbs.

“We have just formalised a dedicated project marketing division headed by a multi-award winning specialist to cater even further for the unique requirements of developers and investment clients,” Mr Stear said.

“The new team members will be formally based at our office but they will often be operating remotely in their service areas with the full range of dedicated support,” he said.

“These are professionals who have spent years in their chosen areas building great local knowledge and outstanding networks.”

Mr Stear said Fletchers had experienced consistent growth since opening on the Gold Coast three years ago during what was described as the worst market in decades.

Fletchers – a Victoria-based group – has been steadily adding top performing agents to its Queensland team for the past year, as reported by Real Estate Business last year.

“Due to the outstanding efforts of our current team, assisted by our introduction of ‘Fletchers Way’, our 2013 sales saw an increase of 50 per cent over 2012 and that upward trend is continuing into the current year,” Mr Stear said.

“Our Property Management numbers continue to strengthen consistently which provides the regular underlying cash flow to reinvest in training and technology and ensure our people are at the cutting edge of best practice,” he said.

Mr Stear said the template Fletchers had established on the Gold Coast will enable potential new franchisees to proceed with confidence.
