An award-winning real estate agent has shared her secret to running a successful agency – communication.

Speaking to Real Estate Business at the recent Real Estate Result Network's Sales Summit in Sydney, Stafanie Dobro, sales executive at Caporn Young in East Freemantle and North Freemantle, explained how she meets with her team four times a week to keep her finger on the pulse.

“We meet basically every day except for Fridays,” Ms Dobro said.

I think in this business one big lesson from last year is that communication is key – whether that be with vendors, buyers or your team,” she said.

“It is the communication within your team that keeps the business running properly.”

In 2013, Ms Dobro’s team generated 98 sales. She even threw a party for one of her clients, attracting a number of buyers and further listings, as reported by Real Estate Business on 21 February.

“We catch up four times a week just to touch base to see what our priorities are,” Ms Dobro said.

“We also have a shared calendar so everyone knows who’s doing what.

“We also communicate via text and phone constantly to keep in touch.

“I send out an email each night to the team about what needs to be done the next day.”

Ms Dobro said she has also been heavily involved in her community, including a strong supporter of local businesses, previously sitting on the P&C leading the fundraising committee, as well as sponsoring a number of local sporting clubs.
