With less than one per cent of all sales associates in her international network achieving the accolade, one Australian agent has made history by receiving the RE/MAX Circle of Legends Award.
Deborah Evans from RE/MAX Results at Morningside in Brisbane is the first Australian to hold a rare international award that honours agents who have earned more than US$10 million (approximately AU$11.5 million) in commissions during at least 10 years of service with the company.
Ms Evans has been in the real estate industry for around 17 years, and her specialty is selling top-end homes across Brisbane.
“Deborah is an outstanding individual who has distinguished herself in RE/MAX ranks and the real estate industry itself. I am truly delighted to have the first Circle of Legends Australian on our team,” said RE/MAX Australia managing director Michael Davoren.
The award was given at the RE/MAX annual awards last month at the refurbished Brisbane City Hall.
The network’s highest individual accolade, The Eagle Award, went to Tony Williamson from RE/MAX Real Estate Services in Cairns, who was also welcomed into the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame.
“The Eagle Award is acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication that Tony brings to being a committed real estate business owner and sales professional,” said Mr Davoren. “And he is a leader who represents our profession admirably.”
Speaking at the awards, Mr Davoren said he was excited about the future of the real estate industry.
“This will be an exciting year for real estate, possibly our strongest year for some time, and we anticipate growth in our office and agent numbers across all states of Australia," he said.
