The date for the NSW heat of the National Auctioneering Championships has been set, as preparations begin for the state’s best to go head to head.
According to Estate Agents Co-operative CEO David Crombie, the NSW final will be held on the 24 June 2014.
“The competition is open to all NSW auctioneers and will be held on 24 June 2014. We are just finalising the rules for this year and entry forms will be available soon,” said Mr Crombie.
“Last year we had 15 competitors fight it out in the New South Wales heats, and this year we are looking to attract even more contestants.”
The early announcement may be an attempt to avoid another clash of dates - as occurred last year - with the Real Estate Institute of New South Wales' (REINSW) Auctioneering Championships.
The winner and the runner up from the New South Wales heats will progress onto the National Auctioneering Championships to join contestants from around Australia and New Zealand at the final event, which is being held in Auckland from 21-23 October 2014.
