Now in its 17th year, the Australasian Real Estate Conference has revealed a line-up of world-class international speakers as well as some of Australia’s best agents.
With 3,000 attendees expected to attend the two-day conference on the Gold Coast this June, founder John McGrath said the speaker line-up will be the catalyst for the theme ‘Better Your Best’.
“They will inspire the audience to take their lives to a whole new level, sharing their own strategies and case studies to do exactly that. There is always room for improvement, both professionally and personally,” Mr McGrath said.
Headlining the events are Jordan Belfort, the 'The Wolf of Wall Street', and Aron Ralston, inspiration behind the six times Oscar-nominated film 127 Hours.
“I’m looking forward to sharing my story with you at AREC and also some of the strategies, tools and tactics that I’ve been teaching real estate agents around the world,” Mr Belfort said.
Mr Ralston said he hopes to share some insight into his own experiences, and what agents can take away from it.
“I hope the AREC audience will take some perspective and encouragement from my experience in dealing with the 'boulders' in their lives and see whatever adversity is facing them also contains gifts of insight,” he said.
Other speakers include Chip Eichelberger, one of the world’s top inspirational and interactive speakers; Los Angeles-based Simon Reynolds, one of Australia’s most successful advertising figures; Dr Fred Grosse, who has worked with the world’s top real estate agents for over 30 years; and Alison Levine, team captain of the first American women’s Everest expedition.
AREC is also hosting some of Australia’s top agents, including last year’s number one-ranked agent in Real Estate Business’ Top 100 Agents, James Tostevin.
NSW-based Amy Kaslar, a platinum lifetime member of LJ Hooker's Captain’s Club, who was also ranked 18th in the 2013 Top 100 Agents, will make an appearance, as well as real estate coach, agent, auctioneer and principal Dane Atherton of Harcourts Coastal.
Industry speaker and coach Tom Panos will MC the two-day event, and hopes principals and agents alike will take away as much as they can to benefit their own businesses.
“I will make sure that real estate agents get key concepts, strategies, and dialogue reinforced to ensure that they walk away from that event with a clear 'what to' and 'how to' to drive their real estate sales business to the next level,” he said.
“You can learn information from reading a blog, watching a YouTube video or listening to an audio book but the opportunity to sit with nearly 3,000 agents at the one place, at the one time, for a deep learning environment only comes once a year.”
