One of the country’s top sales offices has opened the doors to its fourth shopfront, boasting three new locations in just 12 months.

Managing director of Harris Real Estate Phil Harris said the company was opening in Prospect, targeted for its healthy market conditions and mixture of properties.

“Prospect is a good, energetic market – people love the area, it has a variety of properties, and we think we can bring a new energy to the area,” he said.

The award-winning Harris Real Estate brand has produced several Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) award-winning agents, and the Adelaide office was ranked 10th in the country according to the Real Estate Business Top 50 Sales Offices ranking.

“It has been a busy time for us. We opened in Blackwood in March 2013, our Coastal office in Glenelg in September 2013, have grown to 79 staff and are now looking for more sales and property management professionals to meet demand.

“This expansion has come along quickly, but we like being busy, we like getting things right, and I think this shows we are on the right track.”

Harris Real Estate’s Prospect office will be set up as a joint venture with husband and wife team Peter and Niki Shizas, who between them have 35 years’ experience in sales and property management.

“Prospect prices have grown only 1.2 per cent over the past five years, but turnover has increased 7.8 per cent with 206 sales over the past 12 months,” Mr Shizas said.

“Prices are expected to continually increase with signs of a strong recovery in the area.”
