Realestate.com.au’s parent company, REA Group, has announced the name of its new CEO.
REA Group has revealed the Tracey Fellows will replace interim CEO Peter Tonagh, after former CEO Greg Ellis left in December last year.
Ms Fellows has previously worked as executive general manager of communication management at Australia Post, and previously as vice-president of Microsoft in the Asia-Pacific region.
Group chairman Mr Hamish McLennan said that the extensive international search for a new CEO had yielded a world-class leader.
“We believe that Tracey is the perfect fit for the company and we look forward to seeing her apply her leadership experience as we navigate through the next evolution of our business,” said Mr McLennan.
Ms Tracey said that the prospect of leading one of Australia’s most successful digital businesses was a unique opportunity.
“I’m delighted to have the chance to work with the team at REA Group. The Company’s success in the digital arena is unrivalled and I look forward to contributing to the further growth and development of the business both domestically and internationally," said Ms Fellows.
The appointment comes not long after REA Group was hit with a barrage of criticism from industry professionals over a new subscription pricing regime.
