The expansion plan comes off the back of LJ Hooker receiving several industry accolades in the last 12 months, including being named Major Network of the Year at the inaugural Real Estate Business Awards 2013.

LJ Hooker is also a finalist in the Real Estate Business Awards for 2014, competing for Major Network of the Year and several other awards, including Best Innovator and Best Training and Education Program.

Newly appointed LJ Hooker chief executive Grant Harrod said the same attractions that brought himself to LJ Hooker had likewise enticed many new franchise owners.

“Winning the Major Network of the Year was a great achievement, but the organisation realised there was great responsibility with the title,’’ he said.

“As such, LJ Hooker continues to invest heavily in training, culture and innovation, and engages offices which are advocates of these values.”

LJ Hooker welcomed a new office at Richmond on July 1, the first of eight new offices planned throughout the competitive NSW market over the quarter.

In Queensland, offices at Portside Hamilton and Dalby also opened on July 1.

Victoria continues to be a strong base of growth for LJ Hooker, where it will welcome five new offices over this quarter.
