Leading network LJ Hooker has embarked on an aggressive recruitment strategy to almost double its sales force in Victoria and Tasmania.
Over the past 12 months, LJ Hooker Victoria/Tasmania has seen a 41 per cent increase in sales staff joining the network.
At the start of the 2013/2014 financial year, the Victoria/Tasmania division had 180 salespeople, but since then the figure has ballooned to 255 active selling staff.
According to LJ Hooker Victorian/Tasmanian state manager Ken Baker, sales recruits are taking advantage of the “strengthening real estate market and iconic LJ Hooker brand” when they join the network.
Recruitment of sales staff is a constant challenge for any real estate business so at LJ Hooker we focus a lot of attention on creating businesses that will attract good agents by ensuring we have a positive culture and succinct business processes,” Mr Baker said.
LJ Hooker, a Major Network of the Year nominee at the REB Awards this week, said the recruitment blitz has come to light just weeks after the firm's Victoria/Tasmania division documented a 45 per cent increase in settled sales when May this year is compared with May 2013.
“LJ Hooker VIC/TAS is just going from strength to strength, both in settled sales, appraisal numbers and new listings, and in recruitment of staff,” Mr Baker said.
