Industry professionals will gather in Sydney next week for a tongue-in-cheek debate on whether or not property buyers can be trusted.

The next Great Real Estate Debate, on 19 January 2015, will argue the topic ‘Buyers are liars’.

Debaters will include agents Edwin Almeida and Peter O’Malley, buyer’s agent Kevin Lee, solicitor Tim O’Dwyer, Bernadette Janson from The School of Renovating and Sally Costello from EBM Insurance Brokers.

The event will be hosted by Investor Friendly Agents chief executive Rachel Barnes.

"I'm looking forward to learning the answer myself when we get the two teams of real estate professionals together to debate the issue soon,” Ms Barnes said.

“I’ve specifically chosen people with a diverse range of skills, experience and personalities to make it a lively, fun debate.

“Then we’ll let the audience decide which team wins and whether buyers are actually liars in New South Wales."

The debate kicks off at 6pm at the Vibe Hotel North Sydney in Alfred Street, Milsons Point.
