Two major groups have made positive strides in their strategy to convert real estate leads into finance clients.

Professionals has now hired a chief executive for its new broking business, Professionals Global Finance.

Melbourne-based Andrew Gooding has spent more than 15 years in the financial services sector, during which he has worked with brokers, lenders and the real estate industry.

He previously held senior roles at brokerage Mortgage Fair and diversified financial services firm Choice Capital.

Mr Gooding said Professionals Global Finance wanted to become one of Australia’s top brokerages within five years.

“A strong pipeline of opportunities from within the group means my focus will be on building great relationships with our member offices and finding the best possible talent to deliver on our promise,” he said.

Professionals Global Finance also announced that it had added real estate veteran Terry Hansen to its board.

Mr Hansen has been with Professionals for 28 years and is principal of three Sydney offices.

Meanwhile, Barry Plant Financial Services has enjoyed “steadily increasing lodgements month-on-month for the last six months”, according to general manager Peta Siebert.

“We are constantly searching for ways to improve our service delivery to brokers and clients,” she said.

“One example of this is our new internal follow-up service through which we offer current Barry Plant customers an obligation free finance assessment. This initiative alone has been incredibly successful.”
