Raine & Horne has appointed a new chief executive after Angus Raine resigned from the role.
The franchise’s chief operating officer, Brian Reid, will replace Mr Raine in the role he has held since 2006.
However, Mr Raine will continue in his other role as executive chairman, in which he will concentrate on expanding the business in Australia and overseas.
Mr Raine said Mr Reid has extensive real estate franchising history, and has spent the past year working on the franchise’s IT platforms and a new responsive website.
“These initiatives, coupled with the new senior management structure, have resulted in a surge of the brand, particularly in Queensland, and many initiatives have been aimed at staff recruitment and retention,” he said.
Mr Reid said recruitment and retention remain the main drivers for Raine & Horne.
“Over the past 12 months we have worked very hard to understand the needs of our offices and their clients,” he said.
“We have responded with the development of a raft of new products and services, which will help our offices and their clients and deliver more business to the network.
“These initiatives have involved developing our new IT platform, a number of comprehensive external marketing campaigns – which have delivered excellent cut-through – along with a series of innovative internal staff incentive campaigns.”
