A country agent on a pink tractor is nearing the end of an epic fundraising trip around NSW.
Hugh Bateman, director of Mudgee agency The Property Shop, has already exceeded his goal of raising $250,000 for the McGrath Foundation to help fund specialist breast cancer care nurses.
Mr Bateman is driving a pink tractor 2,900 kilometres around NSW for the fundraiser and stopping off at 20 real estate businesses along the way.
The agencies are helping with the fundraiser, which has already raised $265,000, according to Mr Bateman’s Facebook page.
After leaving Mudgee on 9 October, Mr Bateman travelled to Dubbo, Orange, West Wyalong, Griffith, Goulburn, Wollongong and then Sydney, where he visited parliament.
Mr Bateman then continued on to Central Coast, Port Stephens and, yesterday, Port Macquarie.
He is scheduled to arrive in Coffs Harbour today, Maitland and Muswellbrook on Thursday and Scone on Friday, before returning to Mudgee on Saturday.
