A group of 52 LJ Hooker award winners and network members has returned from a six-day trip to China, where participants expanded their business networks.
Leanne Howard, LJ Hooker’s head of events, said the highlight was a session in which the attendees met 24 Chinese agents and business owners who all do business with Australia.
“Australia is second behind the US as China’s most favourable investment destination,” she said.
“Ninety million Chinese search for property every month, and Chinese buyers spent $37 billion on international residential properties last year.”
Ms Howard said the tourists also heard from the director of international banking at ANZ on how to do business in China from an Australian perspective.
“Then our LJ Hooker Shanghai team spoke about opportunities with them for us in China,” she said.
“We also heard from Juwai – the equivalent of REA and Domain in China – on the impact of Chinese buyers on the international property market and how to do business with them.”
Each year, LJ Hooker hosts a study tour to reward its top performers in Australia and New Zealand. Last year’s tour went to Dubai.
