Harcourts has rebranded one of its top executive roles as part of its “future-focused” strategy, bringing in top talent to boot.

The network announced that it had appointed Trent Sutton as chief marketing officer, a role created to replace the head of brand experience post, effective 5 October.

Harcourts International chief executive Steve Caradoc-Davies called the role rebranding an important development in the network’s approach, which involves thinking about the future, anticipating obstacles and planning ahead.

Mr Caradoc-Davies also expressed his enthusiasm for someone with Mr Sutton’s calibre joining their top ranks, citing the latter’s reputation and experience in the industry.

“Mr Sutton joins us from another well-respected real estate brand and is a great fit with our values and company culture. I look forward to working with Trent as we continue the growth and development of our brand,” he stated.

Speaking in the wake of what the network described as a “whirlwind” inaugural day, Mr Sutton remained bushy-tailed about his prospects within Harcourts.

“Day one in the books and couldn’t be more excited to join the team at Harcourts Real Estate as chief marketing officer,” he said.

He also revealed that his shift to the brand was motivated by his values aligning and personally resonating with that of Harcourts.

“Living an organisation’s values are easy when you believe in, and share them,” Mr Sutton stated.

Mr Sutton’s appointment comes in a series of top-brass reshuffling within the firm’s structural web, with Harcourts tapping network veterans to reclaim top jobs.

At the end of August, the group announced that Mike Green would resume the managing director role, which he parted ways with three years ago.

Another familiar face returned to the network on 5 September, when Shane Kempton was named the new state chief executive officer of Harcourts Western Australia — returning to the role after a 14-year hiatus.

As part of the group’s future-focused strategy, Harcourts Australia has also recently unveiled the rollout of its “state-of-the-art” intranet platform, which replaces the network’s existing technology across Harcourts, NAI Harcourts, and Nutrien Harcourts and has been customised for business owners, property managers, sales consultants, and administration professionals.
