The Victorian network has touted the alignment of a “unicorn” as its new head of marketing.
Monika Kamienowska has been named as joining the group as it aims to elevate its position.
It’s an appointment the Barry Plant CEO is “thrilled” about: “Any leader of a large group will know how difficult it is to find a high-level marketing expert who’s also able to understand the unique intricacies of the real estate industry — that’s like looking for a unicorn,” Mike McCarthy said.
With nearly two decades of experience in the marketing, campaign management and strategic planning areas under her belt, Barry Plant has lauded Ms Kamienowska’s management of “a portfolio of high-profile, market-leading brands, including in the real estate category.”
Having spent more than five years in marketing management and business partner relations at Harcourts, Ms Kamienowska shared that what she finds most exciting about the industry “is that every location, office and consultant is unique, but each needs to consistently represent the brand.”
“Therefore, the marketing needs to be agile enough to work across diverse demographics, while staying true to brand values and reputation.”
“Achieving this is always an exciting challenge, requiring both close collaboration and a commercial lens and I look forward to continuing to build on this well respected brand’s success story,” she continued.
Mr McCarthy said the newest hire had “proven herself time and time again.”
Considering her as both “well known and highly respected” in the real estate space, he outlined that her wealth of experience, especially in the franchising space, would be “invaluable to us as we strengthen our position in Victoria and introduce our brand to new territories.
“We’re excited that Monika has joined our team and look forward to elevating our already respected brand.”
From Ms Kamienowska’s perspective, “A strong and respected brand isn’t built overnight, however it can safeguard long term success.”
“I believe in nurturing a brand and backing it with clever, fresh and well-balanced marketing strategies to keep it relevant and front of mind,” she espoused.
Ms Kamienowska is not the only Harcourts alum to have made the move to Barry Plant.
Late last year, the network revealed it had procured the services of Lisa Pennell, who took on the chief operating officer role.
