Two agents from OBrien Real Estate played a crucial role in the success of House 1 in The Block’s latest season, leading a strategic marketing campaign that delivered a $1.5 million bid above reserve and clinched the season’s top spot.
The 20th season of The Block has concluded with the show’s youngest-ever contestants, sisters Maddy and Charlotte Harry, emerging victorious and taking home $1.65 million, while also marking the first season of OBrien Real Estate’s partnership with the series.
OBrien Real Estate agents Kristina Walters and Krystal Chandler were responsible for managing the marketing of the Harry sisters’ House 1, and were highlighted to have “built a strong rapport with Maddy and Charlotte” that fostered trust and a shared commitment to success.
The targeted marketing campaign used videography from Flip Media and photography by Spacecraft to capture Maddy and Charlotte’s design vision, and the property’s distinctive features such as a separate residential space with potential as a rental opportunity or multigenerational living solution.
Over the season, Walters and Chandler also worked closely with potential buyers to foster relationships and generate the interest that helped House 1 to stand out in the season’s competitive property line-up.
The agents’ work played a key role in attracting seven parties to bid on auction day, including Australian billionaire Adrian Portelli, whose $3.5 million bid ultimately secured the sale of House 1 for $1.55 million above the reserve, and crowned Maddy and Charlotte as the season’s winners.
CEO of OBrien Real Estate, Mitch Armstrong, shared that the brand’s entire network was “honoured” to join The Block for the first time and support Maddy and Charlotte, describing the sisters as “inspiring young women whose creativity and dedication have made this season truly memorable”.
“Our frontline team brought their expertise and passion into this campaign, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see it culminate in an exceptional sale,” Armstrong said.
